Six young people arrive in the Swedish city of Uppsala, excited to start their university careers and a new chapter in their lives. Despite the differences between them, three couples form and they become fast friends.

Years later, Germund Grooth, senior lecturer at Lund University, is found dead at the bottom of a gorge in the woods close to Kymlinge. But then a chilling discovery is made.
